“If you look at the billions of dollars of foreign funding that's flowing into institutions like Harvard, like Penn, like MIT, it is deeply concerning. For example, Ben, the billions of dollars coming from Qatar flowing into many of these universities is propping up Middle Eastern studies departments, which is inherently pro Hamas and anti Semitic. In addition, communist China is the second largest foreign funder into our higher education system. Columbia, for example, I think it's a surprise to many Americans that 40% of the student body at Columbia is foreign, so they're no longer prioritizing American students.”
